Dead Fish on the South River. Henry County Should Be Paying Attention
ATLANTA β Atlanta is investigating a fish kill on the South River, potentially triggered by a chemical spill at a water reclamation center south of downtown. This comes just weeks after a massive fish kill on the Chattahoochee. The South River flows directly through Henry County including past Butler's Bridge Park, the county's only public kayak launch.
Why it matters: Until the source is confirmed, anyone who recreates on the South River should stay informed. We reached out to the Henry County Water Authority for comment and will update when we hear back. Read the full story at AJC β
