STOCKBRIDGE - Kellie McCormick of Cedars Preschool at Hudson Bridge in Stockbridge is one of five statewide finalists for Georgia's Pre-K Teacher of the Year 2026-27. She was selected from hundreds of applicants by a panel of impartial judges, and each finalist receives a $500 cash prize from the Georgia Foundation for Early Care and Learning. Georgia Teacher Wins Tony Award,and His Former Student Is Kandi Burruss

ELLENWOOD - Freddie Hendricks, a 30-year veteran theater teacher at Utopian Academy for the Arts in Ellenwood, just won the 2026 Tony Award for Excellence in Theatre Education.
